Sell a Home, Save a Child

If you bought or sold a home with us in 2020, a portion of each sale went towards the Amazing folks over at FORWARD EDGE to power their Sell a Home Save a Child movement. We didn't share this charity plan with clients in 2020 as it didn't seem right to use a charity program as a sales pitch, but we do feel it's important now to spend the time to bring awareness to this critical cause after a year that has caused so many hardships across the globe.

By choosing Atlas over the past few years, you have helped vulnerable children across the world. Many live in dangerous environments, surrounded by violence, suffering from preventable illnesses, hunger, and malnutrition. Although we love local charity, we realize the power the American dollar has in developing nations. When the average family in an impoverished country lives off $1 a day, we have an amazing opportunity to truly transform lives.

This program is run through Forward Edge International which is a highly accredited 501(c)(3) relief and development organization ensuring 100% of funds make it to the charity. Since 2016 Sell a Home Save a Child members have raised over $1.5 million to support over 5,000 children in Cuba, Haiti, Kenya, Mexico, Nicaragua and Uganda. Atlas has only played a small part in these efforts, many other wonderful supporters have helped to get this initiative off the ground and hope that future efforts will continue to help improve the lives of those in need.

"Atlas’ mission is to change lives through real estate. Locally we will continue to be heavily involved with United Way, Habitat for Humanity, Rise Up, The Boys and Girls Club of Westminster, Helping Up Mission and Westminster Rescue Mission, but our calling is greater and the reach of Forward Edge International has a global impact. As parents ourselves, Nick and I were brought to tears when we heard the stories of impoverished children in Nicaragua being forced into prostitution or human trafficking. We couldn’t stand by and NOT do something!"
